In-House Sourcing is our self-serve platform where you and your team run the AI sourcing. It is completely free to use with our local Pulse model. You can optionally scale up with premium cloud models on a pay-as-you-go basis for higher throughput or advanced reasoning. This path includes outreach, scheduling, and interview management on your side.

Recruiter Marketplace means an independent recruiter sources for you. You pay nothing up front, just 12% of first-year salary on a successful hire, with a 120-day replacement guarantee. Best for senior roles, specialized hiring, or when you don't have in-house recruiting capacity.

You can use both. Many teams run in-house sourcing for high-volume roles and post harder-to-fill openings to the marketplace.

When you mark a marketplace-sourced candidate as hired, Scope generates an invoice for 12% of the candidate's first-year base salary (excluding bonuses, equity, signing bonuses). The recruiter earns 75% of the fee in two installments at 30 and 120 days post-start. Scope retains 25% as the platform fee.

Scope offers two-way sync with Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby. When a candidate moves between stages in your ATS (e.g., "Phone Screen" → "Onsite"), the change appears live on the candidate card in Scope within seconds.

For marketplace recruiters, this is critical: they see their submitted candidates progress through your hiring pipeline in real time, so they know whether to keep sourcing for you or whether their candidate is being moved forward.

Two-way sync is opt-in per integration. Configure it in Settings → Integrations → Enable two-way sync. Setup takes ~5 minutes per ATS.

Sign up at app.usescope.co/signup?audience=recruiter, fill out a profile (display name, bio, verticals you specialize in, optional LinkedIn), pick your role type (full recruiter, sourcer only, or both), and accept the recruiter agreement.

A Scope team member reviews your application within 1–2 business days. Once verified, you can browse open projects that match your role type, claim ones that fit your specialties, and start submitting candidates.

Recruiter accounts are kept separate from hiring-org accounts. You can't be both on the same email, and you can't claim projects from organizations you're affiliated with.

Scope uses a simple pay-as-you-go balance. Each action has a transparent dollar cost:

  • Sourcing: $0.10 per candidate (Cloud Auto-Pilot) or $0.00 (Live Local via OpenProfile).
  • Analysis: $0.00 (Native Pulse/Deep), $0.05+ (Economy Tier), up to $0.40+ (Flagship models).
  • Contact Reveals: $0.10 if a personal email address or phone number is found.

You can enrich for free by using the OpenProfile app which sources via your own LinkedIn account. Simply install the OpenProfile app, connect it to Scope, and paste LinkedIn search URLs or profile lists. This is available on all plans including Free, at no cost.

Alternatively, using Cloud Auto-Pilot uses your usage balance but does not require a LinkedIn account or browser extension.

Scope integrates with SmartLead and Instantly for email outreach sequencing, Google Sheets for live pipeline sync, and OpenProfile for desktop-based LinkedIn sourcing. Pro and Elite plans also include API access and webhooks for custom integrations.

For the Elite tier, we simply add a human optimization layer to calibrate your role definition, scoring, and filters so you don't waste time iterating blindly to get the right candidates.

No - Scope is entirely self-serve and you can get started right away without speaking to anyone. For the Elite tier, the calibration process also works entirely async. Calls are optional and only recommended for unusually complex roles.

On the Elite plan, you receive one calibrated role each month: an admin-verified marketplace sourcer reviews your job description, improves role clarity, quality-checks candidate results, and tunes the AI scoring so the shortlist is highly relevant.

Calibration work is distributed as paid microtasks to verified sourcers in our marketplace, each with a clear SLA. You also get a short monthly summary detailing what adjustments were made and why, giving you full transparency into the optimization process.

Recruiters run the full pipeline: source, screen, submit, manage candidates through to hire. They earn 75 to 82% of the 12% placement fee, based on performance tier.

Sourcers deliver high-quality profiles without doing the screen. You can either self-screen the profiles they hand you, or pair them with a marketplace recruiter who screens. Compensation splits accordingly: 50/50 sourcer/Scope when the hiring org self-screens, or 25/50/25 sourcer/recruiter/Scope when paired.

Sourcers who consistently deliver quality on the marketplace can also opt in to paid calibration microtasks on Elite roles after admin verification. These are flat-fee, SLA-bound tasks distributed round-robin among verified sourcers.

Yes. Every Scope recruiter gets a personal referral link. When a recruiter you referred makes their first placement and the hiring org pays the invoice, $1,000 lands in your pending earnings. One payout per unique recruiter, uncapped across referrals.

The payout comes entirely out of Scope's platform fee on that placement, never from the placed recruiter's share. Your referrals earn the same 75 to 82% they would have anyway.

A "verify recruiter" tool inside the dashboard lets you check by LinkedIn URL whether someone is already on Scope before you pitch them, so you don't waste effort on people who wouldn't count.
